How to play
- Pick your team and the opponent (or two players on one keyboard), choose a difficulty and tip off.
- Hold J near the hoop — a power meter rises. Release exactly at the green peak for a perfect shot; too early or too late and the shot misses.
- Press K to pass to the nearest teammate automatically, and drive under the rim to dunk.
- On defence, sprint to the closest defender and press L when you are nearest to steal or block.
- Score more points than the other team before the clock runs out.
Helpful tips
- Compare the shot distance with your player's ratings: three-point specialists like Curry time long shots best, while big men like Yao or Howard finish inside.
- Release at the top of the meter — timing matters more than anything else in this game.
- Pass when you are covered; the ball automatically finds the nearest open teammate.
- Keep an eye on the 24-second shot clock and save your best looks for clean shots.
- Howard is a dunk machine but a poor free-throw shooter — know your roster's strengths.
