Desktop Explorer Temple walkthrough
Password summary: shai, Anubis, ammit, INANNA, SEKHETAARU, Thoth, 5267, 67, Ra, SAHMAT, WE ARE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT YOU and merneith.
The Temple opens after the Cave altar sequence. You should already have ColorLens.exe installed. The three branches may be started in any order, but completing Anubis and Thoth before finishing Ra keeps the final tomb route straightforward.
Enter the Temple
- Open The Temple in Halibut's Desktop Explorer.
- Read
introduction.stp. - Open
Podium_chamberwithshai. - Read the podium story. The three guarded folders are the Anubis, Thoth and Ra branches.
Path 1: Anubis
Open Path 1 with Anubis.
Balance the heart and feather
The scale compares the total sizes of the files placed on its two plates. Use ColorLens' yellow filter on the scale image to see the live totals. Compress or extract the feather and duplicate or move the required files until the two sides match. The completed scale reveals ammit.
Words From Beyond
Open the relevant StoryTeller+ file in Source Code view. Replace ABRACADABRA with INANNA, save the file and continue the sequence.
Second Anubis answer
The later letter-position puzzle draws from earlier Cave passwords. The answer is SEKHETAARU. Check the Trash after the branch resolves and take topaz.img from the yellow lockbox. Keep it for the podium.
Path 2: Thoth
Open Path 2 with Thoth.
Mirror and Chronolog number
Assemble the map and inspect the completed image through the required ColorLens filter. The revealed Chronolog number is 5267.
Hourglass calculation
The hourglass branch asks you to combine the values represented by its symbols. The final result is 67. Open the blue lockbox and keep sapphire.img.
Path 3: Ra
Open Path 3 with Ra.
Burning coal
- Repair the raw ore or coal image by giving it the correct image extension.
- Create the required burning-coal image.
- Make two additional copies so the folder contains three burning coals.
- Open the hands image and inspect it with ColorLens' red filter.
The revealed password is SAHMAT.
Tomb source phrase
Open pillagedTomb.stp in Source Code view and put this exact phrase between the empty <phrase> tags:
WE ARE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT YOUSave the file. When Pizarro asks the follow-up question, choose No.
Red lockbox
Compress deadlyMistake.img, extract it again and reopen the image. Use merneith on the red lockbox and take ruby.img.
Complete the scarab podium
Return to the Podium chamber and open the scarab image. Open all three gem images and drag each window over its matching slot:

Each gem window must overlap most of its target area. When all three snap into place, the Temple-ending sequence begins and the Merneith achievement unlocks.

Temple troubleshooting
- If a ColorLens clue looks blank, check the requested colour rather than cycling filters at random.
- If a gem does not snap into the podium, overlap more than half of the target slot.
- If the Ra tomb does not fully advance, finish the Anubis and Thoth lockboxes first.
- Recent patches include localisation and softlock fixes, so restart after updating if a completed action does not register.
